Sometimes it seems like it was nothing more than a dream: Eric coming back from the dead, being kidnapped by Top Dollar, Albrecht being wounded and almost dying. But she knows that it wasn't a dream. It's not just the fact that her mother is clean and so different but everything after those two days is completely different. Later on when she's in Los Angeles, Sarah will understand that she's been touched by death but in the immediate aftermath, all that she understands is that it was like a dream of the days before Eric and Shelley were murdered. For a moment, she could pretend that her life wasn't tainted by violence, death and decay.
