Her favourite time of day is early morning when she quietly slips out of the bed that she shares with him and goes to the comfy chair by the window. She curls up in the chair as she stares out at the New York skyline bathed in the pearly-grey light just before night turns into full-fledged dawn. She sighs as she enjoys the quiet stillness of the hour, her mind a million miles away from ballet and everything else.

All that matters at that precise moment is how dawn paints the New York skyline. Sometimes the skyline is done in shades of pinks, reds and golds, vibrant hues that herald a new day. Other times, the skyline is hung with a grey mist that seems to reinforce the quietness that she feels. It doesn't really matter what colour dawn paints the skyline, all that matters is the quiet reverence as she greets the new day when she has a few quiet moments to herself where she belongs to no one but herself.

Soon the moment passes and she finds her way back to the bed that she shares with him and she'll slip back underneath the duvet before she wraps her arms around him. She holds him close to her and she sighs against him as he slowly awakens.
