Lily generally doesn't remember her dreams. All that she knows is that they're not sweet or innocent anymore. Not since the day that she unknowingly brought evil to the forest.

When she dreams, she dreams of ice and snow and of embracing the darkness within her heart instead of cowering in fear.

She dreams of dancing and of cloven hoofs and dark bitter wine that tastes richer and more seductive than any of the wine that graces her father's table.

She dreams of Jack. Oh how she dreams of Jack, her sweet boy.

She dreams of her beloved Jack bound and ready to be sacrificed, the innocent fool on the altar.

She dreams of making love to the shadows and to Jack.

Oh sweet Jack, lovely Jack. Her innocent boy who trembles when presented with her darkness, power and majesty. And she's never sure if he trembles in desire or in fear.

She dreams of corrupting her sweet boy while He watches in the shadows, waiting to kiss her breathless. He always watches her as she dances in the cloying darkness and in the soft shadows. She is His just as Jack is hers.

When she remembers her dreams, Lily awakes with an ache between her thighs and she knows that she will never be good enough for her noble and pure Jack. She belongs in the shadows now. Yet Lily pretends that she doesn't dream and that she is still pure and innocent just like her beloved Jack is.
