Under the about section, you can find more information about myself and my writing. This section is all about the site.
I don't really have an interesting story for how I came up with Faded Dreaming, other than when I first started posting fic on LJ, I created a new journal for my fic rather than posting at my personal journal. As I started to branch out into other fandoms (that not all of my friends liked) I felt the need to create other personal journals. I got to the point, where I asked myself if I wanted to create a new fic journal everytime that I started to write in other fandoms (and have all of my friends who liked all of the fandoms I wrote for friend all of them.) I decided that I didn't and decided to create a community. I can't recall why I went with Faded Dreaming, I just liked the sound of it. I had originally housed my fics on two seperate archives, which worked for a while. But after some time, I decided that I just wanted to have on archive that housed everything to make it easier on me. Besides hosting my icon website on this domain, this domain is only for my fanfiction. As of September 2010, my archive will be housed on two different domains: Fadeddreaming.com and Ghostly-Images.com. The only reason why I am doing this is for organizational purposes due to the sheer amount of fic that I have posted. The way that the site appears won't be that different on either domain. There may be a few minor differences but overall the content on both domains will essentially be the same. The one exception is the fic. It'll be accessed from both domains, however certain fandoms will be on one domain and other fandoms on the other. I use Dreamweaver and Photoshop when designing my websites. Previous Incarnations:
This is actually a slight modification on the original design that I had planned for the site. The original plan had included a similar banner that was larger in size and somewhat darker. Having decided that I really didn't like the idea of a black background with coloured text, I decided that I needed to start from the bottom up, this included revamping the header. I took the same picture and played around with it and came up with something much lighter in colouring and more suited to a white background. Why Eliza Dushku? Why not, she's one of my favourite actresses and I love the photo that I used for the layout. (Plus quite a few of my fics focus on the character of Faith Lehane, who Eliza Dushku protrayed.)
